The Rhythm of Unconditional Love
Walking the Talk
On Expectations:
On a stifling hot day, you find yourself feeling comforted by the coolness of shade. You lie down in gratitude of the relief that the shade has brought. There is a slight draft, adding to the cooling effect. All thoughts of the struggles earlier fade away. You begin thinking of the journey that still lies ahead. To your surprise, even those thoughts fade, slowly allowing the experience of the giver of shade to become a part of you… You come to recognise a massive oak tree. Its trunk wide enough to dwarf the size of yourself. Its branches reaching up and expanding out, creating shade yet allowing light through; perfectly rationed to support all sorts of life, including you. You can sense its roots. Working hard, unseen, communicating directly and in Knowing of all of Mother Earth. You begin floating in the harmonious movement and are one with the vibration of the Oak tree.
The sound of people talking begins the process of separating from the frequency of the tree. You stay in gratitude and the experience gradually becomes a heart warming memory. Trust will support the memory and will enable the experience to serve you during the continuation of your journey.
Upon rising to your feet, just before greeting others on their journey, you see an acorn. You pick it up. Just after sharing your plans to plant it later with the other travellers and suggesting that they too each find an acorn to plant along their journey, you are the only one to gently place an acorn in your pocket. Trust and the memory stay with you as you continue on your journey. They will help you recognise the right time and the right place to plant your acorn. Trust and your memory will be part of the experience of the traveler who will receive the experience when he/she finds relief in the shade of the great oak tree that started as a small acorn that you planted.
Like the roots of a mighty oak tree, your efforts may often go unnoticed, lost through the mind’s attraction to what can be seen and easily touched. Find comfort in experiencing value within a greater truth. See the acorn for what it can bring when offered a chance to prosper and with that truth you will discover your own value as part of the eternal.
